The AJK Mass Communication Research Centre offers 6 separate courses in Mass Communication (MA) Convergent Journalism (MA), Development Communication (PG Diploma), Graphics & animation (PG Diploma) and Broadcast Technology (PG Diploma). Students are expected to follow a procedure for Admission the details of which are provided in the prospectors. The AJKMCRC does not have a syllabus for the Entrance Tests as the courses are open to students from different disciplines. However, the tests are carefully designed to estimate, as accurately as possible, the applicant’s (a) aptitude for the particular course (b) awareness of issues that concern media and cultural practices and (c) a broad knowledge of socio-political development in the country. The knowledge and awareness that we expect from aspirants to the above courses is not of a specialized nature but one that can be expected from a keen and engaged undergraduate.
