Ms. Fathima N, an alumnus of AJK MCRC, joined the Centre as a lecturer in Journalism Department in March 2007. Soon after completing her M.A. in Mass Communication in 2004, she worked with the Pilot Team of Times Now, a joint venture of Reuters and Bennett & Coleman, India. After her stint at Times Now, she worked as a freelancer on various video projects and installations.
A recipient of Independent Research Fellowship from Sarai Centre for Developing Societies, ICSSR, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Fathima has gained the reputation of a budding documentary film maker in a very short period of time. So far she has made three documentary films including “Living ‘My’ Religion” that won her the best documentary award at the FILCA Film Festival in 2006. Her remaining two documentary films are “The Making of Travails of a Rickshawala” and “Beyond the So-called Veil”. Her area of specialization includes direction and editing. |
