Pawas Bisht teaches film production at AJK, MCRC. He finished his post graduation in Mass Communication from the AJK, MCRC in 2006. He has since been involved in different capacities in TV and documentary film production. In 2006, he shot and directed, A Body That will Speak, a documentary on Body Image Disorders, commissioned by the Public Service Broadcasting Trust.

“The House Remembers” a short film directed by him was commissioned by Channel 4 (UK) for broadcast on Channel 4 (UK), Doordarshan and NDTV in 2007. He has also worked as a producer of children’s shorts for Sesame Street, India

“The Children of the Fog” a dance drama scripted and directed by him, on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy was performed at the National School of Drama, New Delhi.

He was the recipient of the 2006 SARAI-CSDS research stipendship for research on Cinema and the City. He also performs as a part of the theatre group JANAM.
