Dr. Pradeep Nair's research interest lie at studying the application of cost-effective information and communication technologies to work towards inclusive democracy using different communication formats of participatory nature specially with the marginalized groups and neglected individuals.

His work presented in 7th International Conference on E-Government (ICEG-2010) talks about the greater use of information and communication technologies in health care systems to improve efficiency, access and accountability of health care services with particular focus on Indian health system.

Dr. Nair's present work investigates the economics of cost-effective communication strategies practiced in for delivering development messages to people to ensure their participation in the development process.

He is presently associated with AJK – Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia (A Central University), New Delhi, India as a Research Scientist. He is also the Course Coordinator of the PG Program in Development Communication at MCRC. He has done his Ph.D. in Development Communication from Lucknow University, and was associated with Lucknow University, CSJM University, Kanpur and Amity University as a Faculty before joining the centre. He worked as a Communication Expert with World Bank in national health programs.

His research works were published in journals like Electronic Government, Everyman Science, The Eastern Anthropologist, Studies on Ethno-Medicine, Media Watch and Indian Journal of Social Work. He is associated with International Research Journals like Peace, Gender and Development Studies, Education Research and Reviews, Management and Business Studies, Media and Communication Studies.

Dr. Pradeep Nair teaches Development Communication, Communication Research, and Communication Concepts, Theories and Models at Doctoral (Ph.D. Course Work) and Post-Graduation Level.
