Sabeena Gadihoke teaches Video and Television Production at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre. She is also an independent documentary filmmaker and camera person and has extensive production experience. Gadihoke is a founder-member of the Mediastorm collective that has made several documentaries on issues of religious fundamentalism and gender in the late eighties and early nineties. Her own independent film, Three Women and a Camera has received awards at Film South Asia (1999) and MIFF (2000).
 
 
She has conducted workshops on participatory video practices in south Asia and has been a jury member at several film festivals including Film South Asia, Kathmandu and the Kara International film festival in Karachi. Gadihoke was a Fulbright fellow at Syracuse University during 1995-96 and her research interests focus on the history, culture and practice of photography in India as well as issues of gender and technology. Her book Camera Chronicles, a biography of Homai Vyarawalla, India’s first woman photo-journalist was released in early 2006.
