SHAHID JAMAL, a filmmaker, is equally at ease with teaching as well as practicing television production. A core teaching faculty of Development Communication, he has two decades of action behind him documenting some of the major concerns of our times.
A Masters in Mass Communication from Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia he also holds an M.Phil degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University. His dissertation on ‘Mass Media and Medicine’ was critically acclaimed. His latest film on starvation deaths ‘Assassination’ is being screened in India and abroad. Another path breaking piece of work is a 13-part series on Awadh culture and tradition. |
